Dying to know what obstacles await you at HERO RUSH in 2012? We won’t be giving everything away — since at a real “emergency” you won’t know the situation until that 911 call comes in to respond. In the coming weeks, we’ll be having some fun with a few obstacles including some contests to help name a few of them. Don’t just play in the mud, be a Hero in 2012 — get in a workout with 15+ obstacles (why settle for less?)

Here’s a peak at a few of the more than 20+ obstacles we’re planning for our first year. Obstacles will vary at each location, with at least 15-17 obstacles spread out across our 5K+ course plus more challenges and fun in our Inferno Midway. Not to mention our two kid’s courses, entertainment, food & drink and more!

Here’s a hint at what you will tackle come Hero Day! Are you up for the challenge?

Dispatch Descent When the bell rings, the Rush is on .. head up to the top of the pole and take a slide down, it’s time to Respond!
Bystander Blast Spectators get in on the action in our super soaker obstacle!
Mazed and Confused It’s dark, surrounded by cries for help (and more), will you escape?
Forcible Fury Firefighters have to get inside to save lives in a myriad of ways through
Dummy Draggin’ You’ve got the victim, now get ‘em out just like a real hero!
Stretcher Evac Find a buddy for this one (unless you’re super strong), save the day and get ‘em to the Chopper M*A*S*H style! (* Actual helicopter not included)
Hoarder’s Hell Up the ladder, through the window and … who knows what’s next (we do, but we’re not tellin and it’s something firefighters face ALL the time)
Hose Advancin’ Can you stretch the line quick enough to make an impact?
Foam Adventure You’re gonna get a little sloppy on this one
Towerin’ Inferno – Raining Stairs A surprise obstacle that will test your up and over skills to the max
Stayin’ Alive: CPR Stop At select events, stop and take a breather by testing your CPR skills on mannequins waiting for your love
HazMat Zone Could be slimy, could be smelly, could be a combination!
Fire Truck Tackle Fire trucks may block your path, how you gonna get through to save the day?
Basement Entrapped There’s only one way out of this one, and that’s up.
Smoke Jumper The next best thing to jumping out of an airplane into the inferno
Entanglement One of the biggest dangers to real firefighters — getting caught and not being able to get out
Inferno Ending What’s Hero Rush without a little heat to end the day and give you an awesome photo op?
