“Just wanted to Thank the whole Hero Rush team..I led a group(213 Bringing on the heat) of 18 team member who are in a FB hiking group in Los Angeles called 213 FB HIKERS. We all had a great time. I wanted to share with you what one of our team members Nick Castrellon posted on FB after the race… “Losers complain, winners TRAIN!” The Hero Rush was AWESOME! I had the time of my life participating in this adventure. I have so much more respect for firefighters after doing this stuff. Y’all are awesome. It was great to ‘serve’ on this ‘mission’ with my team “213 Bringing the Heat” and our Team Captain Michael D. Baca. I learned a very valuable lesson in teamwork and leadership today. Thank you 213! We will see u next year for sure!!!!!!!!!!”

“Today I woke up feeling like I have been beaten and battered. I knew I bruised a rib (or in the ribbish area) trying to get over a wall…I didn’t realize I had bruised and scraped both knees (one might need a band aid! hahaha) and I am just generally sore all over LET’S DO IT AGAIN!!!! Hero Rush is one fun event…….if there is one near you do it or volunteer for it you will have a blast!”
